Monaghan Electrical IFL – crunch time this weekend when we take on Tyholland at 3.30 on Saturday at home in Páirc Mhic Eoin. Win and Intermediate Status is guaranteed for 2016. Lose and we are a point behind going into the last game of the season the following week when we take on Emyvale away while Tyholland take on Doohamlet. So everyone come out and cheer on the seniors – remember this Saturday at 3.30pm in Páirc Mhic Eoin – no excuses- be there!
Scór na bPaistí – last Saturday night the 10th of October  in Threemilehouse the Club took part in Scór na bPaisti. We were represented in the Céilí and Set Dancing, Recitation, Instrumental Music and the Quiz. Well done to  Conor Curran who took part in the recitation. The Quiz team of Dáire Sheridan, Conor & Ruadhán Curran and Lauren Hanratty were very unlucky.  The  Instrumental team of  Ruadhán and Conor Curran, Laura Mc Mahon, Rachel Brennan and Jonathan Lavelle came third and the céilí dancers of Laura Mc Mahon, Shauna Lennon and Rachel Brennan finished 2nd. However the set dancers brought the county title home. Well done to  Ursula and Fiona Markey, Shauna Lennon, Gemma Caraher, Catherine Walsh, Laura Mc Mahon, Lauren Hanratty and  Rachel Brennan

Our Lady’s Blitz – The club took part in a primary school blitz for 5th and 6th class pupils organised by Our Lady’s Secondary School Castleblayney on Saturday morning last. It was a five a side format on the schools astro turf pitch. We had two teams on the day meaning everyone got playing time. We had five games in total against all high level opposition in the form of Donaghmoyne, Castleblayney and Clontibret. Our boys competed well against physically stronger sides on the day but moved the ball fast and accurately at times. Overall it was an enjoyable mornings football and thanks to the school and its staff for organising it.

Juvenile End of Season Internal Blitz – Saturday 17th October 11am
On this coming Saturday we will run our own Internal Blitz for all players-  boys and girls aged from 7 to 12 years old . We will be picking 4 evenly matched teams Monaghan, Dublin, Kerry and Mayo and all teams will play each other once and then a final for each team. All players should be at the pitch for 10-45 and it will finish around 12-45 . This then will conclude the outdoor season for 2015 which has been an excellent one for all teams as players continue to develop and improve all the time. Again we ask for a full turnout of all players on Saturday as we would like to end the season out on the pitch on a high note.

U13 players have a 7 a side blitz in Cloghan on this Thursday night at 7pm start under lights. All players should be in Cloghan for 6.45pm. This will be a good opportunity for this age group to get back out on the pitch again after a few weeks rest.
