Universal Graphic Junior Football Championship – all roads lead to Clontibret this Sunday 14th August when Drumhowan take on Blackhill in Clontibret with a throw in time of 2.45pm. It’s the second game of a double header with Sean Mc Dermotts and Éire Óg throwing in at 1.15pm.
Connolly Meats MFL Division 1 Shield – the minors play the final game of their shield campaign next Tuesday 16th of August when they take on the Harps in Ballybay at 7pm.
Gerrys Prepared Veg U16 Division 1 Shield – – St. Patrick’s U16 team had a narrow win over Truagh last Thursday evening the 4th of August. In an exciting game every time St Pat’s seemed to be pulling away Truagh got a vital goal. However in the end St. Pat’s just proved too good winning in a high scoring game. The full time score finished St Patrick’s 2-19 (25) Truagh 5-9 (24) They play Carrick in the final game next Thursday 18th August in Druhowan
U15 Óg Spórt 7 a side Blitz – Drumhowan competed in the annual 7 a side blitz in Cloghan on Saturday morning last. We had good wins over Scotstown and Aughnamullen but suffered defeats to Latton, Blayney and Carrick. However it was a good mornings football and a good experience to play against some of the top clubs in the county so well done boys and their mentors.
Gerry’s Prepared Veg U14 Division 3 – This team have a number of games lined up this week. This Saturday the 13th of August we travel to Aughnamullen to take on the locals in the final league game at noon.
Gerry’s Prepared Veg U12 Division 3 – Drumhowan 3-9 Aghabog 1-13 We emerged with a two point win on Saturday morning last in the final league match. This was a very exciting encounter against a gallant Aghabog side with both sides on top during various spells of the match. This win now puts us in the Cup Semi Final where we have to travel to Inniskeen on Saturday August 20th. However as this date clashes with a number of other events it may be subject to change.
U10 – Next Go Games Blitz is fixed for Saturday 20th August in Clones. We will be running our own Under 10 tournament again this year in October. More details in the coming weeks.
U8 – We played in a Blitz in Clones on Saturday morning last. We had games against Doohamlet and Emyvale and our team performed well and continue to improve with each outing. Next Blitz is in Clontibret on Saturday 27th August. We have a game on this Thursday evening against Doohamlet. All players should be in Doohamlet for 6.45pm.
Training for all teams(6-14) continues Monday evenings at 7pm.
