Drumhowan 3-6 Carrickmacross 4-11
Drumhowan played their first game since last September in Pairc Mhic Eoin on Wednesdy 9th June when they took on a strong Carrick team. Making their debut from the start on the night were Caolan Reilly and James Mc Adam. Carrick started strongly and despite some good moves Drumhowan trailed 1-8 to 1-1 after 3o minutes, with Drumhowan scores coming from a Michéal Duffy point and Tom Mc Guirk getting the goal. However in injury time Drumhowan doubled their score with James Mc Adam getting a first ever goal at adult level and a free from Micheal Duffy left only a goal in at half time with the score Drumhowan 2-2 Carrick 1-8
Carrick opened the 2nd half with a goal but over the next 20 minutes Drumhowan had their strongest period with Caolan Reilly getting his first senior point and Drumhowan actually levelling the game after 10 minutes. They got their final score of the game in the 2oth minute with a Joseph Duffy point but that was as good as it got as Carrick kicked 2-3 without reply in the remainder of the game to leave 1-5 in the difference at the end. Also near the end Emmet Mulholland came on to make his debut after transferring from Castledawson,
