Monaghan Electrical IFL – The seniors secured their first victory of the season last Saturday 3rd May with a 2-15  to 0-15 victory over Tyholland at Páirc Mhic Eoin It was a case of 2 halves  with the team being down 4 points at half time  and with a strong wind they overcame their half deficit to win by 6 Team and Scorers  David Traynor 0-2 (1-45, 1 f), Tiarnan Reilly, Jonathan  Lavelle, Martin Quinn, Caolan Reilly 1-0, Daragh Mc Elearney, Killian Mc Adam 0-2 (1-2p), Ciaran Duffy, Patrick Quinn 1-0, Aodhan Brennan 0-2, Kevin Mooney, Aiden Quinn 0-3 (All f), James Mc Adam,  Liam Mc Guirk,  Tom Doherty 0-6 (2- 1p, 2-2p), Subs used ,  Jack Treanor, Gerard Quinn,  Jason Clarke. Next game in the competition is this Friday 9th May when the team travels to St. Mary’s Park Castleblayney to take on the locals with a 7.45pm throw in.

Platinum Tanks RFL Division 2 A- The next scheduled game for this squad is  next Wednesday 14th of May at home to Ballybay with an 8pm start.

Foxhound Travel U18 Division 2 – The last game for the minors was Tuesday 6th of May when they returned home from Magheracloone with a 6-9 to 3-11 victory. Next Tuesday 13th of May sees St. Patricks travelling to Aughnamullen with a 7.30pm start

Bogues Foodhall U16 Division 3 Shield – On Thursday 15th May St. Patricks face Latton with a 7.30pm start.

Bogues Food Hall U14 Division 4 – Next game for this squad is this Saturday 10th May away to Aughnamullen with a 11am start.

Academy and Cubs Training – Big thanks to all the coaches for a fantastic morning last Saturday at Kids Cubs & Academy! Despite the rain, everyone pushed through and had a brilliant session. Special thanks to Shanneen for providing the fruit afterwards and to Joanne Ward for capturing all the great moments on camera. Huge congratulations to Carmel and John McGowan—and especially to Lizzie—on the birth of their baby boy, Seanie. We can’t wait to see him wearing the blue and yellow!  See you all next Saturday at 9.30am for another fun-filled morning of activities!

Rounders – has recommenced. The ladies are looking for members both old and new. Once over the age of 16 age is not a barrier. Training takes place on the top field each Thursday night at 7pm.  They had a strong start to the rounders’ championship last Sunday 4th May with the ladies playing well against Sean Connollys Rounders of Longford. Drumhowan won the game on a 2-bat inning 49-38. Great performance! Next game is against Inniskeen  in the middle of the month.

Married Bliss -Tullycorbet Drama Group Present a 3 Act Comedy, Married Blissin aid of Ballybay Cancer Society. It will take place in Tullycorbet Community Centre on Sunday 11th May at 8pm with an admission of  €10.

Friends of Drumhowan – thanks to all those who have paid this already. This is a reminder to the few that haven’t please contact Clare Reilly or any committee member to pay.  This has to be paid if you want to be in the draw for All-Ireland tickets.

Volunteer Needed – The Club is looking for a volunteer or volunteers to do a little light cleaning in the centre and dressing rooms for a few hours a week. Anyone willing to help please contact Chairperson Seamus Duffy , Vice Chair Gerry Finnegan or any committee member.
