Committee Meeting to take place this Thursday, 1 February at 8.30pm – all asked to attend.

Club Draw tickets are available to purchase from committee members and players – €10 each.  Prizes include a brand-new car, €10k cash prize and various GAA ticket packages.  Draw takes place on 27 March.  All monies raised stay in the club which is needed more than ever.

U18 training has commenced in the gym – see WhatsApp for details.

U11 training with Dessie Ward every Thursday evening at 7pm in Ballybay gym – all players to attend.

Repair work – both pitches remain closed at the moment following repair work.

Irish Life Steps Challenge and Ireland Lights Up in conjunction with RTE’s Operation Transformation continues.  Every Wednesday from 7pm in the training field, the lights will be turned on until 8.30pm.  All members of the community are encouraged to meet up and walk together.   For the step challenge, the club will attempt to collectively walk 4,000km to be entered into a provincial draw to win a €2,500 sports voucher for the club.

Bingo returns to the Community Centre next Friday, 9 February with a €1,000 jackpot which must go on the night, and some great raffle prizes.  A fun night out for all the family.  Keep an eye out on social media for further details.

Gaeltacht scholarship If you have secured a place in a Gaeltacht course this summer and are a registered member of the club, then please contact Emmet Mulholland to apply for a Gaeltacht scholarship.  Application forms need to be submitted before 28 February 2024.

Sympathies to the Cumiskey and Mc Grath families on the death of Sarah Mc Grath [nee Cumiskey ] formerly of Drumguilla whose funeral mass was in Cashel but was laid to rest in Our Lady of Knock cemetery last Thursday.  Also to the Caraher and Sullivan families on the death of Maggie Caraher [nee Sullivan], Knocknamaddy who was laid to rest in St Patrick’s, Ballybay on Monday past.
