Bingo Thank you to all who came out to play bingo on Friday. The support for the club was fantastic. A brilliant night for all ages. Congratulations to John Reilly who scooped the 1k jackpot. Save the Date Tractor, Vehicle Run Sunday, Jan 7th, 2024. Our annual Christmas run takes place on the first Sunday of the year. Also, this year we have a Junior run where children can show their driving skills on their toys. This will take place just before the main run starts. Please spread the word.
AGM thank you for all those who attended the AGM. We heard many positives from 2023. 2024 will be a great year. The committee has two changes with Lorraine O’Donnell exciting the role as PRO. This role will be held by Louise Curley. We wish you the very best. We thank Noel Duffy for his time as he exits his role as Healthy Club Offcer. Club draw winners included 1). Congratulations to Gerry Finnegan, our 2023 Club Volunteer of the year. Gerry was born on the Drumhowan/Doohamlet border the same year the club was formed. It was lucky for Drumhowan that Gerry decided to play for them. A tough wing back who played county minor and went on to play for many years as a Drumhowan senior. Gerry came back from a serious accident to playing football again.
A successful businessman off the field, Gerry has done it all with the club. A player, a coach, manager, and club chairperson. It is at a fundraiser where Gerry is at his best. No one has sold more tickets that Gerry, mostly because of his own generosity. Gerry is a tireless clubman who is the first man to put up his hand to help. No job is too big or too small for Gerry, who is still going strong after all these years. Thank you for your many years of service. Long may it continue.
Congratulations to Megan & Ryan Courtney on the birth of their third child, Evie. We hope she is settling in great with her adoring siblings. Congratulation also to Philip & Edwina Mc Adam on the birth of their daughter, Sienna. It’s wonderful to welcome the new additions to the club.
