Drumhowan GAA are delighted to launch MyLife’s second challenge in partnership with the GAA Community & Health department Every Step Counts. This challenge is in support of clubs and community members getting active in January and February.
We had hoped to be doing this as part of the Ireland Lights Up Campaign but due to the Covid-19 situation we feel it better not to gather together to walk at specific times. However feel free to use the club pitches during daylight hours to complete your walk if you live within 5km. Please remember to use the sanitiser on entering and leaving the pitch through the double gates. However this challenge can be completed anywhere. Please also let our Healthy Club Officer Noel Duffy at noelduffy77@gmail.com that you have registered so you can be put on a mailing list to be kept updated.
We are asking you (over the age of 18)to track a collective 4,000km over 7 weeks (that’s roughly the distance around Ireland!) between *13th January – 3rd March to be entered into our prize draw.
*In light of current Covid-19 restrictions we have had to change the start date of Every Step Counts to 13th January.
What are the Prizes?
In each province there are 3x O’Neills vouchers up for grabs – €2,500, €1,500 & €1,000. Any club that tracks more than 4,000km during Every Step Counts will be entered into our prize draw in their province.
There is no minimum number of participants per club to be eligible to win, so get stepping!
