After the success of the OsKaRs a good crowd arrived at Páirch Mhic Eoin last Sunday 8th of April for the 2nd game of the season. While the team played well in spells in the first half and in the monsoon conditions of the 2nd half they weren’t able to convert their possession into scores while Cremartin were more clinical in front of the posts.
The first quarter ebbed and flowed and at the end of it the score was all level with Drumhowan’s points coming from Mark Mc Cabe by 3, Kevin Mooney and Aidan Duffy. However in the following quarter Cremartin powered ahead with another 6 points to a sole point by Mark Mc Cabe to leave the half time score Drumhowan 0-6 Cremartin 0-11.
During the half time break the rain poured down and this continued for the remainder of the game with scores at a premium as the conditions steadily worsened. Both sides tried but were only able to muster 4 points each for the remainder of the game with players slipping and falling as the thunder roared and lightning flashed across the sky. For the record Drumhowan scorers in the second half were Mark Mc Cabe, David Millar x 2 and was finished by sub Colm Lambe.
