Drumhowan made a disappointing start to their 2018 league campaign with a defeat to Éire Óg last Saturday night the 31st of March. The home club raced into an early 4 point lead after 7 minutes before two frees from Mark Mc Cabe left 2 in it. Éire Óg then scored a point before points from play from David Millar and Ciarán Duffy left only 1 in after 20 minutes. However that was close as it got as Éire Óg finished the half off strongly with 3 unanswered points to leave the half time score Drumhowan 0-4 ÉireÓg 0-8. 3 Mark Mc Cabe frees kept it close and a Darren Duffy point in the 18th minute only left a goal in it. That would prove to be the last score while Éire Óg scored a further 1-3 to leave a goal and 6 points in it at the end.
