End of Season review – for all underage teams will take place this Thursday 30th of November at 8.30pm in Drumhowan. All coaches and parents welcome.to attend as the club looks back on 2017 and looks forward to 2018. Anyone interested in helping out in 2018 is more than welcome to attend.
Foundation Courses – The club will require additional help with our Under 6-8 players in 2018. The County Board are running 2 Foundation courses one on the 19th / 20th January and another on 9th /10th February 2018. In order to work with juveniles you must do the course first. So anyone interested in helping out should contact Cormac Duffy on 087-0963941 to book onto these.
Scór na nÓg took place last Saturday 25 November in Threemilehouse. Well done to all those who participated. Congratulations to the Céili (Rachel Brennan, Shauna Lennon, Aoife Lennon, Sinéad Duffy, Annmarie Lavelle, Laura Mc Mahon, Sinead Grogan and Niall Grogan) and Set Dancers (Chloe Treanor,Sinead Grogan, Annmarie Lavelle, Rebecca Brennan, Aoife Duffy, Katie Lennon, Ciara Mc Adam and Catherine Walsh) who were announced as winners. They will go and represent Club and County in the Ulster Semi Final in Swatragh, Derry on the 10th of December. Hard luck to the Musical Group (Orlaith Brennan, Ruadhan Curran, Aodhan Brennan, Mark Tomany and Lee Treanor) and Recitation (Niall Grogan who were pipped at the post on the night.
Plays by Ballintra Players – Two 1 act plays namely Matter of Conscience and Roma took place in Drumhowan Community Centre last Friday 24th and Saturday 25th November.According to reports 2 great shows were put on. To those who didn’t get a chance to see them last weekend you all have one last chance to view in Iontas this Friday 1st December at the slightly earlier time of 8pm. Make sure to be there.
Circuit Training continues with Ursula and UR Fitness every Monday and Thursday at 7.30pm in the Centre.
Sympathy to the Scotstown Club and Stirrat Family on the death of Liam Stirrat former Co. Chairperson, Player and Manager who was buried last week. Sympathy also to the Moyna family Scotstown on the death of Mackie, Sean Mc Kenna, Monaghan on the death of his mother Philomena and the Blayney Club and Mackin Family on the death of Pat.
