Universal Graphics JFC Round 1A – The Seniors fell to Currin last Friday 26th May in Smithborough on a full time scoreline of Drumhowan 1-12 Currin 1-15. Drumhowan started brightly and for most of the half were leading until Jack Mc Carron levelled on the stroke of half time. to leave the score 1-7 apiece. During the 2nd half Currin just seemed to be that little sharper and were always a few points ahead. A major factor in the defeat was the conceding of frees with 10 scores of Currins scores coming from placed balls.

Platinum Tanks RFL Division 2A This Saturday the 3rd of June the Bs travel to Threemilehouse to take on the locals with a 7pm throw in. Lets go out and support the team as they attempt to go three matches unbeaten.
U16 Division 1 last Thursday the 25th of May the u16s in their final game before the exam break the u16s were defeated away from home in a high scoring encounter with the full time scoreline Scotstown 6-15 St. Patrick’s 5-10. Next game is on the 29th of June away to Magheracloone.
U14 Division 3– The U14s were due to play Killanny on Tuesday night past the 30th May in Drumhowan at 7.30pm. Next match for this group is the championship at home to Tyholland on Thursday June 8th at 7.30pm.
U14 Latton Tournament – The U14s took part in this Memorial tournament in sun drenched Latton on Sunday last. In the first game we played a strong Latton side and despite trying hard the powerful home side ran out winners. We then played Clones in the Shield final and this ended up a draw after an exciting match with both sides on top at various periods. Well done to all involved and thanks to the Latton Club and the Coyle family for the invite and the hospitality afterwards in the Centre.
Gerry’s Prepared Veg U12 Division 2 Drumhowan 5-13 Truagh 4-5 The U12s opened their league campaign with a good win over Truagh in a rain soaked Mc Keown Park on Saturday last the 27th May. A good start gave the team a cushion for the whole game against a strong Truagh side who pushed the saffron and blue hard all the way to the finish. Team and panel on the day: Jack Treanor, Jerome Lavelle, Jonathan Lavelle, Conor Curran, Martin Quinn, Tom Doherty, Killian Mc Adam, Tiernan Reilly, David Traynor, Tristan Duffy, Jason Clarke, Pete Mc Guirk, Eanna Curran, Katie Mc Adam, Cian Mc Adam, Darragh Mc Adam, Tara Reilly. Next match is away to Clontibret on Saturday June 10th at noon.
U10 – Drumhowan and Oram played out an exciting challenge game on Monday evening in Mc Keown Park.
Go Games – Drumhowan host a double Go Games Blitz on Wednesday June 7th at 7pm for both Under 8 & U10 teams. Help Needed from 6.30pm please. Please note that both pitches will not be available for training that night.
John West Féile Peil na nÓg – The countdown continues till the club hosts Dunboyne on Friday June 23rd and Sat 24th June. There are two matches in Tyholland on the Friday evening starting at 4pm. Then on Saturday the U14s play Dunboyne in Drumhowan at 11am before travelling to Kingscourt for another match that afternoon. There will be a social event probably on the Saturday evening.
Blackhill Sports Day takes place this Sunday afternoon the 4th June at 2pm. The U8 team are playing there on Sunday so please come along to what always is a good family day out.
Bank Holiday– No training next Monday. It’s on Tuesday night instead for all teams from U6 up to U14
