Eurotech JFL Drumhowan 0-16 Corduff 2-6
Drumhowan secured their second win of the campaign in Páirc Mhic Eoin last Sunday the 10th of April, after a hard fought game with Corduff, only pulling away in the the last 15 minutes.
Kieran Mooney opened the scoring with a free after 3 minutes with Corduff replying almost immediately. Veteran Kieran Mc Elroy open his 2016 campaign with a score after 6 minutes. Drumhowan then raced into a 3 point lead after 20 minutes but Corduff came back with 7 minutes left in half scoring a goal. However Drumhowan ended the half with two pointed frees,one each from Kieran Mooney and Michéal Duffy to leave the half time score Drumhowan 0-8 Corduff 1-3
Corduff started the 2nd half with a bang scoring 1-1 in the first 2 minutes to leave Drumhowan on the back foot. Ciaran Deery opened the scoring for the home club after seven minutes with a point followed shortly by one from Michael Atkinson but Corduff hit back with two to leave them leading by two at the three quarters stage. That was as good as it got for them as Drumhowan finished out the game with 6 unanswered points, with 10 players getting on the scoreboard, the final one coming in injury time from David Millar. The full time score finished Drumhowan 0-16 Corduff 2-6

Minor Football League Division 1 – The Minors started their league campaign on Tuesday the 5th of April with a defeat away to Aughnamullen. The full time score was St. Patrick’s 1-13 Aughnamullen 3-14 The 2nd round versus Scotstown was fixed for Ballybay last Tuesday the 12th of April. Please check social media for a result. Next Tuesday the 19th of April sees a trip to Magheracloone with a 7pm throw in.
Gerry’s Prepared Veg U16 Division 1 – Last Thursday the 7th of April the u16s had a narrow 1 point victory at home to Inniskeen with the full time score St. Patrick’s 2-6 Inniskeen 1-8 Tonight Thursday the 14th of April the long journey to Truagh has to be made for a 7pm throw in.
Gerry’s Prepared Veg U14 Division 3 Cremartin 8-5 Drumhowan 2-9 The U14s suffered a heavy defeat at home to Cremartin on Saturday last the 9th of April in the second round of the league. We competed well in the first half and deservedly led at half time. However the second period was a different affair as Cremartin stepped it up and the boys had no answer on the day. Its back to the training pitch to get some hard work and preparation done ahead on the next match in two weeks time with a home game to Clones.
