Platinum Tanks RFL Division 2 A
Drumhowan 1-4 Inniskeen 3 -13
The Junior Bs made a disappointing start to the league on Sunday 8th of March. In the first half Inniskeen raced into a five point lead in the first quarter. Drumhowan opened the scoring in the 20th minute with a Kieran Mooney free. This was shortly followed by a Michael Atkinson goal that brought the team back into it. Ciaran Duffy scored another point to leave just the minimum in it at half time. Half time score Drumhowan 1-2 Inniskeen 0-5.
The second half opened well with another Kieran Mooney free to level the scores. However that was the final Drumhowan score for 25 minutes as Inniskeen kicked 2- 8 without reply before Kieran Mooney got another free. Inniskeen had the final say scoring another goal just before the final whistle.
While it wasn’t a good start to the league it must be noted that Gerard Quinn, Aodhan Brennan and Lorcan Halpin all made their adult debuts in a game that could be the only one played in a while due to the Corvid-19 virus.
