Eurotech JFL Oram 2-14 Drumhowan 1-11 After a facile win over Scotstown in the last round of the league Drumhowan were brought down to earth with a 6 point defeat away to Oram last Friday 11th of August Drumhowan made a good start to the game with points coming from Kevin Quinn and Kevin Mooney before Ciaran Duffy scored a goal followed by a point to leave them 1-4 to 0-4 ahead after the end of the first quarter. Oram came more into the game and by half time despite a Niall Mooney point were ahead by 1 point on a scoreline of Drumhowan 1-6 Oram 1-7 Oram opened the second half strongly scoring another goal while Drumhowan only managed 2 points. Oram went 4 points ahead. Colm Lambe came on for his first appearance in 2017 and managed to score 2 points one from play and one free. Universal Graphics JFC – Last chance saloon in the championship when the seniors make the journey to Scotstown this Saturday 19th of August for Rd 2b of the Championship. Éire Óg are the opposition and the throw in time is 5pm. The club urges all supporters to come out and cheer on the team.
Mallon Foods U16 Division 1 Shield Final –This game at present is scheduled for Friday 25th August with Magheracloone the opposition.
Manor Farm U14 Division 3 Semi Final The U14s will take on Doohamlet in a rematch of the championship semi final in early September.
Gerry’s Prepared Veg U12 Division 2 Cup Drumhowan 4-4 Truagh 3-6 The U12s played Truagh in Drumhowan on Monday evening last the 14th of August in the opening round robin game in the Cup section. After an even first half Drumhowan went in a goal ahead. However after the break the physically stronger Truagh side started to dominate and went eight points up after a three goal burst mid way through the second period. However the Drumhowan side weren’t giving up and a late three goal spree of their own saw them snatch the spoils in injury time. Next up is Clontibret away on Saturday 26th August and the final game is home to Aghabog on Sat September 9th.
U10 – The U10s had a good run out against Doohamlet on Friday evening last. There were some good performances on the night but there is room for improvement as well. Hopefully there will be another game this week in Drumhowan on Thursday night 17th August possibly v Latton.
U10 Dan Markey Tournament . The Clubs own tournament will take place at the end of September or early October. No date has been fixed just yet.
Training for all juvenile teams continues on Monday and Thursday evenings at 7pm,
Friends of Drumhowan – Thanks to those who have already who have paid up their membership for 2017. However there a number who haven’t. In order to be included in the All Ireland Ticket Draw membership needs to be paid up by 31st August.
