Drumhowan fall at final hurdle

Manor Farm U14 Division 3 Championship 3 Final

Drumhowan 2-8  Patrick Emmet’s 8-9

Goals proved crucial in the championship final held in  Gavan Duffy Park last Monday 7th of August.  The combined  forces of Aghabog and Currin got them at the crucial time at the beginning of the second half  to kill this game off as a contest.

The first half  began with  Patrick Emmet’s getting goals  with Drumhowan  slow off the mark  and Killian Mc Adam opening the scoring. However Drumhowan had their best spell in the 5 minutes before half time with points coming from captain James Mc Adam, Caolan Reilly and Ciarán Keenan.  Jason Clarke then notched a goal to leave the  half time scoreline Drumhowan 1-6  Patrick Emmet’s  3-4

As mentioned previously  Patrick Emmet’s opened the 2nd half with two crucial goals  and Drumhowan just couldn’t get the necessary scores with  their two 2nd half points coming from Tom Doherty and  James Mc Adam.   The Emmet’ continued their scoring but Drumhowan finished  the match brightly  with Ciaran Keenan closing the scoring with a goal.
