Club Notes 30/2/18

Sympathy  – Sadly on Friday 23rd February Drumhowan lost another former player, Joey Mooney who died following an accident in Australia. Joey had been in Australia for the past 13 years but always kept in contact with home. Before leaving for Australia Joey played at underage level for the club. In 2000 he was part of the U16 team that captured the Curley Cup for the 2nd time. He was a half back on the Minor Team that reached a Division 2 Final in 2002 . That year he was also part of the Reserve squad that captured the Double of the Crawley and Mc Keown Cups. At this stage we as a club would like to offer our sympathy to his parents Florence and Michael, sister Melinda, brothers Adrian and Michéal , girlfriend Emma, other relatives and friends. If you so wish you can contribute to the Fund set up by Melinda to Thank the The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust for it’s help in bringing Joey home. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
