Platinum Tanks RFL Division 2A  –  Last Friday the 4th of May Sean Mc Dermotts were the visitors to Pairc Mhic Eoin for Round 5 of the League.  In a game that  ebbed and flowed both teams kept close to each other throughout the game. Colm Lambe opened the scoring for Drumhowan  followed by a free from Mark Mc Cabe to leave the score 0-2 after 15 minutes. Further points from Colm Lambe and Niall Duffy left the score at half time Sean Mc Dermotts 0-5 Drumhowan 0-4.   The 2nd half continued as per the first half and at the end of the third quarter  it was still stalemate after the three quarter mark with both teams level at 0-8 each.  Points were exchanged once again  with Colm Lambe putting Drumhowan a point ahead with 5 minutes left. At this stage Drumhowan spurned a number of chances to put the game beyond reach. Seans then went down the field to level matters in the 30th minute. That proved to be the final score with the game finishing Drumhowan 0-11 Sesn Mc Dermotts 0-11. Team and Scorers Cormac Duffy Conor Duffy, Paddy Mulligan, James Mc Elearney, Kieran Mooney, Liam Mc Guirk, Martin Mc Elroy. Eurotech Junior Football League – last  Wednesday the 2nd of May at short notice the Senior Team were notified that Clones were not travelling to Páirc Mhic Eoin. Many players travelled from Dublin and Larne not knowing the game was off.

This Sunday May 13th  Killeevan are the opposition with a 2pm throw in. Please note that this game is in Smithborough due to Killeevan’s pitch being upgraded.

Manor Farm U15 Division 3  –  Last Thursday the 3rd of May the U15s undefeated run came to an end in an exciting game in Páirc Mhic Eoin  where near neighbours Doohamlet emerged victorious on a 3-12 to 3-10 scoreline.  Next game is at home to Aughnamullen on Thursday 17th of May.

Gerry’s Prepared Veg U13 Division 2  –  Last Saturday 5th the May the U13s had a good win over table toppers Magheracloone  in Drumhowan  with the full time scoreline reading Drumhowan 4-9 Magheracloone 2-5 Next game for this team is a home game v Latton on Saturday 19th of May with a 2pm throw in.

GR8  Entertainment U11 Spring League Final  –  will take place this Saturday 12th of May against Aughnamullen in Cloghan at 11.30pm

OsKaR Appreciation Night –  took place last Friday 4th of May in the  Centre where the DVD of night was shown on the massive big screen  –  thanks to Tommy for sorting this out. A limited number of DVDs are now on sale in Quinn’s Butchers in both Ballybay and Castleblayney, Centra Ballybay and Bill’s Butchers, Ballybay.

Congratulations   –   to Ciaran Deery on getting engaged  to Siobhán Byrne over the weekend. That’s two of the senior team who have got engaged over the past month. Bets are being taken for who is next!
