Club Notes 5/12/17
AGM – will take place this Friday night the 8th of December. All members are urged to attend as the club looks back on 2017 and looks forward to 2018. Throw in time is 8.30pm sharp. Any reports please forward to secretary Paul.
Foundation Courses –  The club will require additional help with our Under 6-8 players in 2018. The County Board are running 2 Foundation courses one on the 19th / 20th January and another on 9th /10th February 2018. In order to work with juveniles you must do the course first. So anyone interested in helping out should contact Cormac Duffy on 087-0963941 to book onto these.
Scór na nÓg Ulster Semi Final takes place this Sunday 10th of December in Swatragh, Derry. Good luck  to the Céili  (Rachel Brennan, Shauna Lennon, Aoife Lennon, Sinéad Duffy, Annmarie Lavelle, Laura Mc Mahon, Sinead Grogan and Niall Grogan) and Set Dancers (Chloe Treanor,Sinead Grogan, Annmarie Lavelle, Rebecca Brennan,  Aoife Duffy,  Katie Lennon, Ciara Mc Adam and Catherine Walsh) who will make the long journey to compete
 
Aughnamullen Lip Sync Battle – well done to club members Paddy, James and Anthony Mulligan, Paudie Mc Geough and Ronan Ó Meara  who rocked Treacy’s Hotel last Saturday night.
Hard luck to Colleen Mooney last Sunday when her and the Corduff team came up short in the last 10 minutes against Aghada, Cork in the Junior All Ireland Final.


Clontibret are hosting their 2nd “Gold Rush” – a 3 or 5 mile fun run/walk on Wednesday 27th December at 2pm.
All donations on the will be divided between two charities with local involvement;-1.  Monaghan Branch Downs Syndrome 2) Mater Foundation, St Vincents Ward, Family Room.
Pitch Closed  – after the 3 Cumann na mBunscol Finals on  Friday last the 1st of the December  both pitches are now closed for the next two months as they undergo  end of season maintenance  in preparation for 2018. Thanks to all those who kept in good shape throughout the year especially Jimmy Mc Shane all year, Michael Mooney in the earlier part and Darius in the last few months.
 
Grant Awarded – Drumhowan are proud to announce that they  received €8000 in the 2017 sports capital programme. This will go towards the upgrading of the training pitch. More fundraising will be needed to complete this, Please keep April  7th 2018 free.
