Niall Mc Adam – Last Saturday at lunch time the unbelievable sad news began filtering through that our County Board delegate Niall had passed away at the tender age of 39. Down through the years Niall coached at all levels and even played a little. His last Drumhowan task last week was to hand over the National Draw Tickets to our Treasurer John and to tell us all to get selling. While all the club will miss him we cannot express in words how his family must feel at this sad time.At this point we would like to extend our sympathies to his wife Roisin, twin sons Sean & Oisin , father Pat, brothers Donal and Lorcan, nieces, nephews and all his relations and friends.  Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dilís.

Scór na nÓg – the county final takes place this Saturday 19th of November in Corcaghan at 3pm. The club will be represented in figure dancing, recitation, solo singing, musical group and set dancing.  Good luck to all competitors.  – Last week we forgot to mention our Scór na bPáistí  Quiz Team who also took part in the county final. Thanks to Jonathan Lavelle, Conor and Éanna Curran and Lauren Hanratty.

Congratulations to our fellow parishioners Ballybay on capturing the Owen Ward Cup(SFL) for the first time since 1986. Also well done to Killanny who won the IFL and in the process gained promotion for a second successive season – the first team since to do so since Drumhowan in 2009. Also well done to Blackhill and Donaghmoyne on winning their Ulster Club semi finals. Belated congratulations to Toome on capturing the Dr. Ward Cup.  Hard luck to St Brigid’s minor team who lost out to Carrick in their minor final last Sunday 13/11/16.

Blackhill Breakfast Morning – will place this Sunday 20th November from 9am to 1pm. Please support.

AGM– don’t forget the Club’s AGM will take place on Thursday 24h November at 8pm. Only paid up members are entitled to vote.
