Scór na nÓg – Last Friday night 4 groups from the Club took part in the Scór na nÓg Co. Finals in Clontibret. By the end of the night 3 of the Groups were victorious. The Instrumental Group ( Eimear & Conor Quinn, Stephen & Colm Mc Mahon, Finbar Brennan) and the Set Dancers (Blinne & Megan Treanor, Orlaith Brennan, Angie Mc Guirk, Lauren Duffy, Sinead & Aine Grogan, Christina Sherry) will now take part in the Ulster Semi Final in Killeshandra on Saturday 14th December at 7pm. The Quiz team (Stephen & Colm Mc Mahon, Patrick Duffy, Finbarr Brennan) go straight through to the All Ireland Final. This will take place in Castlebar on February 28th 2014. Hard luck to the Céilí Dancers who very narrowly lost out on the Co. Title.

 
Winter Programme Finale.– Took place in Ballybay Recreation Centre last Saturday. The club would like to thank all the children  and coaches for coming in great numbers each week. A big thanks also to Drew Wylie for presenting the  participation certs and taking the Anglo Celt Cup along with him. Go raibh maith aga do  Drury’s Centra, Ballybay who sponsored the refreshments for the players on last Saturday evening. Congratulations to both Emyvale and Truagh on winning Ulster Titles last Saturday evening in the Athletic Grounds in Armagh.Great to see Martin Mc Aviney presenting so many Cups to Monaghan men in his 1st year as President of the Ulster Council.  Also hard luck to Donaghmoyne ladies who lost in the All- Ireland on Sunday.
Official Opening of Cloghan Extension  took place last Saturday. It was great to see all the new facilities on show and to see such a good crowd attending.
Last days in Office – On behalf of all at Drumhowan GAA we would like to thank Paul Curran, Seán Mc Kenna and John Kieran  for all the help and support they gave the club in the past few years as they now enter their last few hours as Chairperson, Secretary and PRO of the Co. Board. Good luck also to Club members Pádraig Sherry, Gerry and Noel Duffy who run for office.
