Eurotech League Junior Football League Cup Rd 2 – Drumhowan 1-13 Éire Óg 1-12   The Seniors secured another important victory in Páirc Mhic Eoin last Saturday  28th of July.  Éire Óg opened strongly scoring the first four scores and it wasn’t until the tenth minute that Drumhowan opened their account when Mark Mc Cabe  hit the first of his seven points from a free. Aidan Quinn and Anthony Mulligan then got on the scoreboard but  Éire Óg  upped their game with two points of their own to  leave them three points up after twenty minutes.  Mark Mc Cabe then hit three more points to level the scores on the edge of half before the visitors kicked another point before Mark Mc Cabe had the last say of the half with a point to leave it all square at half time  – Drumhowan 0-7 ÉireÓg 0-7
The Cornanure man Mc Cabe left off where he finished to kick the opening point of the second half after a lay done by Aidan Duffy.. Éire Óg then drew level again before Drumhowan went two ahead but before the three quarter mark the teams were  all level once again with ten points apiece. and this was the same with five minutes left only with the score twelve each before Ciaran Duffy put the team one ahead and Aidan Duffy scored a great goal but within a minute the west Monaghan side had scored a three pointer themselves  to leave only a point in it. Try as the may and despite almost five minutes of injury time that was to be the final score and Drumhowan held out to finish off victors.
