Trá na gCeist – congratulations to our Scór na nÓg agus Scór Sinsir Quiz teams who both retained their County titles last Friday 25th November in Cloghan. They will now represent Monaghan in Belfast in 2017. The Scór na nÓg team of Cáit And Aodhán Brennan, Daniel and Mark Tomany will take part in the All Ireland Final in February while the Scór Sinsir team of Anthony Brennan, Aidan Doherty, Noel and Patrick Duffy will have to wait to May.
Scór na nÓg Ulster Semi Final – good luck to our Musical Group (Daniel and Mark Tomany, Cáit, Orla and Aodhán Brenna) Set Dancers( Sean Walsh, Mark Tomany, Niall Grogan and Aodhán Brennan, Rebecca Brennan, Lorna Mc Guirk, Sinéad Duffy and Anne-Marie Lavelle) and Niall Grogan in Recitation who will represent the club in the Ulster Final this Saturday 3rd December in Killeavy, Armagh at 5pm.
AGM – will take place on week beginning the 11th of December.
County Convention – takes place this Thursday 1st December in the Hillgrove. Club Member Pádraig Sherry will be stepping down as Chairperson after a three year spell and will take up the position of Ard Comhairle member. John Mc Ardle and Noel Duffy will remain in the positions of Children’s Officer and PRO respectively. Also best wishes to Marion Donnelly (Emyvale) who will stepping down as Treasurer after a 12 year spell.
U8 Coaching – finished up last Saturday 26th November in the recreation centre. Thanks to all the coaches who helped out. To all the children who turned up thanks and make sure to keep active and practice your skills. See you all again in a little over two months.
