Club Notes 29/10/18

St Patrick’s emerged victorious after a tight, open game of football.

The final scoreline perhaps doesn’t suggest the way this match went, but in the closing stages, the combined forces of Drumhowan and Ballybay showed their class in the forward lines, which included plundering two important goals in the final 10 minutes.  The team won the game   with a wonderful display of open attacking football.  Full report can be seen on the Drumhowan Website.

Congratulations to all the players and the management team of Martin  Mc Elearney,  Anthony Brennan and Kevin Smyth who finished the football season for both clubs with a victory. Here is looking forward to 2019.

Indoor Programme– The  annual Indoor training for ages 5 to 9 takes place on each Saturday in November in The Recreation Centre from 12.30 to 1.30pm. All players should wear runners and take their ball, water, gum shield and one euro to cover some of the hall costs. It commences this Saturday 3rd November  (not last Saturday as advertised) so see you all there for 12.20pm and new players very welcome.

Congratulations  to Club Referee and former Chairperson – our resident Dub David Hurson who took charge of the Intermediate Championship Final between Doohamlet and Sean Mc Dermotts last Sunday 21st October.   -In case it didn’t make last week’s edition. Also thanks to his ever reliable umpires.

AGM  – will take place on Friday 30th November. More details next week on what officers have fulfilled their 5 year term.End of Financial Year  was the 31st October  –  can anyone with outstanding bills please forward them to club treasurer Philip Mc Adam ASAP.
