Monaghan Electrical IFL – so the up down saga continues. After Sunday’s defeat to Emyvale the Club are condemned to Junior ranks once again for the 2016 season. Not since the 2005 and 2006 seasons have the club remained in the same division for 2 consecutive seasons. Back to the game itself. Emyvale opened strongly  and raced into a 3 point lead. Drumhowan didn’t open their account until the 9 minute with a 50 metre free from Enda Duffy. Points then followed from Niall Mooney and Anthony Mulligan to leave the scores tied. Points were then exchanged from both teams to leave the score four points apiece after 20 minutes. Ciaran Duffy then scored a goal and Drumhowan kept the lead to half time with the score at that point  Drumhowan 1-4  Emyvale 0-6. The score in the other crucial game in Tyholland had the home team well in the lead. Things were looking bad. Yet Drumhowan opened up the scoring in the second half with a Kevin Mooney point. That was as good as it got with Emyvale getting a goal within a minute from Darren Mc Mahon and Drumhowan being reduced to 14 men  shortly after. Drumhowan only scored another point in the 27th minute of the half while Emyvale knocked over another few points to leave the full time score Drumhowan 1-6 Emyvale 1-13. Team and Scorers
