Club Notes 27/3/18
OsKaRs  – Last weekend saw  the filming of the remainder  of the movies.  All that remains  now  is to get ready for the big night. Tickets  for the main event  itself  on April 7th are now on  general sale from any committee member or actor. Amazing value at €20 and also anyone who purchases will be in with a chance of winning a €1000.  
 
Platinum Tanks RFL Division 2A – The B’s  got back on winning ways last Saturday 24th of March when they had a narrow victory over Ballybay. The hard work was done in the first half when the forwards scored  10 points to Ballybay’s 1-3. The 2nd half was a more cagey affair with Drumhowan only adding a further  2 points.  Despite piling on the pressure Ballybay could only muster another 4 points to leave the full time score Drumhowan 0-12 Ballybay 1-7

Sub Used Colm Mc Mahon for Tom Mc Guirk .Next game for the Bs is Saturday 14th April  away to Carrickmacross with a 7pm throw in.
 
Eurotech JFL  –  The As commence their campaign this Saturday 31st of March with an away game to Éire Óg. Throw in time in Smithborough is  5pm.This year there are 12 Junior Teams with Scotstown, Corduff and Truagh also entering teams. This means each team will play each other once before splitting into a cup and shield with 6 teams in each. 
 
Connolly Meats MFL Division 1 Group B –  The minors  were at  home  last Tuesday 27th March when Scotstown were the visitors to Páirc Mhic Eoin.  Check social media for a scoreline . Next Tuesday the 3rd of April sees them travel to Aughnamullen  this time with a 6.30pm throw in. 
 
U15 Division  3  – First game is away to Aughnamullen next Thursday 5th but this may possibly  be moved till the following Monday night 9th. Please check social media for an update on this.
U13  Division 2 –  Aghabog 6-13  Drumhowan 3-13  We lost our opening match away to Aghabog on Saturday last. A poor start cost us dearly and although the boys battled bravely to the end they were unable to close the gap. Next match is at home to Donaghmoyne on Saturday April 7th.
U11s –  This team open their campaign on this Saturday when they travel to Ballybay for a 12 noon start in an all Tullycorbett parish game. Players are to wear a white sock on their weak foot. Good luck to the team and management in the season ahead. Please come out and support the team.
U6-9  This group completed a 5 week indoor program on Saturday last. They now move outdoors starting on Tuesday next 3rd April at 7pm.
Training next week is on Tuesday evening for all teams because of the bank holiday.
Easter Camps -Monaghan GAA are organising their very popular Easter Camp again this year. The camp will take place, 3rd, 4th, 5th April in Ballybay. There is a free hoodie for all who take part. The three day course will be delivered by full time coaching staff, current county players and some guest coaches over the three days. If you wish to register your children, please book online on monaghangaa.ie, or complete an application form and return to Monaghan training grounds, Cloghan.
Congratulations to  Melissa Mc Elroy, Carga  and Pauric Boyle , Greenan’s Cross who were married on Friday 16th March. Wishing the two of them many years of happiness
Also well done to Tom Doherty who finished 4th in the final of the  U13 600m  at  All Ireland Indoor Juvenile Championships running a personal best in the process.
