Club Notes 26/5/20

Juveniles- We ask that the juveniles stay as active as possible especially during this warm, sunny weather. Keep practicing your skills especially kicking and catching. See our club WhatsApp groups for lots of videos for practicing skills. We hope to see juveniles back on the pitch later in the summer.

Run4Pieta– Many thanks again to everyone who donated to Run4Pieta. So far we have raised a total of €5980. The link will be open until the weekend so donations can still be made at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/drumhowan-gaa or money can be put in an envelope with your name on it and dropped off at the following houses- Gerry Finnegan, Noel Duffy, Barry Tomany, Sean Smith or Martin McElearney.

All the Girls– Congratulations to three sets of parents on the birth of the daughters over the last couple of weeks. To Patrick Duffy and his partner Valli who welcomed their daughter Maeva Bridget, to Ciaran and Siobhán Deery on the birth of Eabha and to Margaret and Mark Campbell on the birth of their daughter Marcail.

Drumhowan’s Steps Challenge- After the great interest and participation in our Run4Pieta event, Drumhowan has registered for the “GAA Healthy Clubs Step Challenge”. This challenge costs nothing and the club could be entered into a draw to win an O’Neills voucher worth €2500. If you think you can walk at least 10000 steps a day from June 3rd-30th, please sign up. To be eligible we need at least 15 participants aged 18 or over. All details are on our club Facebook page, or contact Noel Duffy at 0861931933 for more information.
