Club Notes 20/12/16

AGM  –  the AGM will take place early in the New Year. 

Senior Citizen Trip to Croke Park –  last Tuesday 13th December Monaghan Health and Wellbeing Committee organised a trip for Senior Citizen Volunteers to visit Croke Park. 75 attended including 6 from Drumhowan  namely Peter & Mary Duffy, Hughie Duffy, John Duffy, Pat Mc Adam and Seán Mc Dermott.  The club would like to thank all the Health & Wellbeing  Committee especially  Health and Wellbeing Officer  Cathal Hand for organising such an enjoyable trip.  Club member Dorinda Sherry also helped out on the day.

Coaching Courses–  In the New Year Monaghan Coaching and Games will be running a number of Foundation and Level 1 Coaching Course. If anyone is starting out coaching the Foundation Award is the one for them. The Club would also like more coaches to take the step up to Level 1 and encourage all to do so from U6 to Senior. Good luck also to our Coaching Officer Donal  Mc Adam already a Level 2 Coach as he undertakes the Ulster GAA Team Management Diploma in the New Year.

GRMA –  grma (go raibh maith agat) is the new GAA Membership Card programme providing benefits and rewards to you, as a GAA member.  It is a ‘thank you’ or ‘go raibh maith agat’ for your involvement in your GAA club, engagement in GAA activities and attendance at games.

Registration for the programme is now open with benefits available from January 2017. When you sign up, you will receive your Membership Card early next year enabling you to avail of partner discounts, special offers and earn points for going to games. Points can be redeemed by individual members or pooled for redemption by GAA clubs.

You will need a GAA membership number to join grma and receive a Membership Card. Please request your membership number at  the club when you renew your subscription for 2017. These numbers can be obtained from PRO  Noel or secretary Paul.

Membership Cards will only be distributed to members who have signed up to grma online at www.gaa.ie/grma  The programme is only available to adult members (over 18s)
