Club Notes 20/3/16
OsKaRs   – preparations for April 7th continue  at great pace. The Snapper was filmed on location in Ballybay on Monday last. Next Saturday and Sunday the 24th and 25th of March  will be very busy with  the remaining 6 movies being filmed. Long days ahead.   Last call for the actors fundraising. Declan Savage and Ciaran Duffy are holding a fundraising raffle of sporting memorabilia. A great chance of winning a signed Grand Slam Winning Jersey   A Three in a row Dublin jersey also in the mix.  Some excellent prizes for  only €20 with a one in 10 chance of winning.  Darren Mone is also raffling a €150 Mc Mahon SuperValu Voucher at €10 a number.  Full details on these raffles  and others can be seen on the Drumhowan GAA Facebook Page.  We are making  a final call now also looking for advertising for the OsKaRs Programme. Platinum Tanks RFL Division 2A – The B’s  came back down to earth with a bang last Saturday afternoon when Doohamlet beat them on a  2-10 to 0-6 scoreline.  This Saturday  the 24th  sees another home game when we take on fellow parishioners Ballybay with a throw in time of 5pm.  
 
Connolly Meats MFL Division 1 Group B – the minors started their short campaign  with an away defeat to Donaghmoyne on Monday last the 19th of March. The full time scoreline was Donaghmoyne 5-7 St. Patrick’s 3-6. Next game will be at home on Tuesday 27th March when Scotstown will be the visitors to Páirc Mhic Eoin with a 6.30pm throw in.
 
Eurotech Junior Football League  – the Seniors campaign throws in on Saturday 31st of March with an away trip to Éire Óg  with a throw in time of 5pm. This year there are 12 Junior Teams with Scotstown, Corduff and Truagh also entering teams. This means each team will play each other once before splitting into a cup and shield with 6 teams in each. 
 
U13 -15  The first U13 game is on in Aghabog on Saturday 24th of March.  U15s will possibly commence the following Thursday evening.
 
U11 First game takes place in Ballybay on Saturday March 31st.  All players are asked to attend training next week on both Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm
 
U9  –  Another blitz will take place on Saturday 24th March.   
 
U6 & U7  – training continues this Saturday
 
Player’s Membership –  before the playing season commences all adult players must pay their Friends of Drumhowan Membership. This can be done in one amount or monthly by direct debit.
