Eurotech JFL Last Thursday 6th July the seniors had a much needed win away from home when they overcame Killeevan on a full time scoreline Drumhowan 3-15 Killeevan 2-13. This game was definitely a game of 2 halves. In the first half Killeevan were very much the better team with Drumhowan keeping in touch with 3 frees from Mark McCabe and  single points from play from Ciaran Duffy, Aidan Duffy and Michael Atkinson.  After the first 10 minutes it was pretty even but then Killeevan scored 2 goals within 2 minutes  to leave it 2-5 to 0-3  after 12 minutes  Points were exchanged for the remainder of the 2nd half  to leave the half time score Drumhowan 0-6 Killeevan 2-7

Killeevan continued to press ahead in the first 10 minutes of the second period and despite points from Kevin Mooney and a Mark Mc Cabe free Killeevan extended their lead to 8 points. At this stage Drumhowan began to put more pressure on the Killeevan backs and Martin McElroy eventually broke forward to score a rare goal.  Killeevan then had a man sent off  on a second yellow card and this was  a turning point.   Another free from Mark Mc Cabe left 4 in it with 10 minutes left. The game then turned dramatically within a minute with goals coming from Aidan Duffy and Michael Atkinson to put Drumhowan ahead by 2 and then the 2 goal scorers added points to leave Drumhowan 4 ahead with 5 minutes still left.  Points were exchanged  and Michael Atkinson finished the scoring to leave the full time score Drumhowan 3-15 Killeevan 2-13
