AGM –  took place last Thursday 26th November in the Community Centre. Before a reasonable audience the various officers gave their reports. After this was done it was down to the main work of  the night the election of officers. Before this could happen, chairperson Martin Mc Elearney proposed 3 presidents – namely Frank Connolly , Hughie Duffy and Tommy Mc Ardle. This was seconded en-masse. The following officers were then elected. Chairperson- Martin Mc Elearney, Vice Chairperson- Gerry Finnegan, Secretary- Paul Mc Guirk, Assistant Secretary- Enda Duffy, Treasurer- TBC, Assistant Treasurer – John Reilly PRO – Noel Duffy Children’s Officer – (nominated by outgoing executive) Martin Duffy, Coaching Officer – Donal Mc Adam Development Officer – Séamus Duffy Cultural Officer- Lorraine Maguire , Player’s Rep TBC, Health and Wellbeing – Gavin Sheridan
Indoor Training – This finished up on Saturday evening last. There were great turnouts and enthusiasm shown by all players over the five weeks. All the younger children were presented with Certificates to complete the program on Saturday last. Thanks to Colin Malone for his assistance with the program and for taking the session with the Under 8s  last week. Special thanks to all the coaches who put in so much time with the children all season and these results can be seen by our performances at U8, U10 and U12 levels this season. Thanks also to the new coaches who helped out during the past few weeks and finally to the boys and girls who have trained so well all season and have improved so much. Remember to keep practising the basic kicking and catching skills over the Winter and we will see you all early in 2016.
Club Gear – Loughman Sports in Castleblayney have a good selection of club gear in stock for this Christmas including zip tops and hoodies to suit all ages from children to adult.
National  Club Draw Tickets – at this stage all books should have been distributed. Remember to sell all 10 tickets. This will help with our affiliation fees at the start of the new year.  First Prize is an Opel Corsa Car. Other prizes include a trip to the 2016 All Stars, a travel voucher to the value of €1500,  various all ireland football and hurling final ticket packages and €1000 shopping vouchers. Anyone who wants to buy one please contact any committee member.
Corn na nÓg – Best wishes to Aodhán Brennan who plays in the final of the Corn na nÓg for St. Macartan’s when they take on St. Pat’s Maghera this Thursday evening  3rd December at 5pm in Garvaghy.
Retirement – A function to mark the retirement of Paul McCarthy Bus Eireann Service and School Bus driver will be held in Latton O’Rahilly GAA centre on Saturday 12th December 9.30pm to 1.00am. Tickets €10.
Congratulations to Carmel Duffy and Eoin Conlon, Corvoy and Martin and Lorraine Duffy, Knocknamaddy on their recent births.  Also well done to Rockcorry on their 11 point win to win the Paul Kerr Cup and the Ulster Junior Championship last Sunday. Commiserations to Scotstown who put up a great effort against Crossmaglen.
Did you Know – The record for a  biggest winning margin in an Ulster Club Football Final across Senior, Intermediate or Junior grades is held by ourselves Drumhowan with our 5-10 to 0-5  victory over Lissan in 2008 (1 point more if you look at last Sunday’s programme)
